In over 60% of organizations, training needs are a standard topic discussed in an employee’s appraisal interview. This was found by research conducted by Motivaction.
However, since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, 48% of organizations has ceased to look into employees’ training needs. If any attention was given to training needs during the pandemic, it was done mostly via questionnaires or employee satisfaction surveys. Organizations rarely got external parties involved to establish the training needs of employees. However, Motivaction found that larger organizations were more likely to call in the help of external professionals.
